Victoria Grove, Riverside CA

Victoria Grove - Riverside CA

victoria_Grove_Riverside_cA_poolVictoria Grove is a wonderful neighborhood in the southwestern part of Riverside, California. It is located south on La Sierra Avenue just north of Lake Mathews. Part of this community is between El Sobrante and Blackburn and the other part is on the other side of Blackburn.  My husband and I have many friends who live here.  We have sold a lot of homes here have also helped some wonderful people purchase homes in Victoria Grove.  It has many wonderful amenities for the residents  (which I describe briefly later) and even better are the amazing people who live in this neighborhood. Victoria Grove is in a terrific location - not far from the 91 freeway in Riverside and with easy, quick access to Corona Crossings and Dos Logos in Corona from Cajalco Rd.

There were several different builders in Victoria Grove.  The first section of this community was built in 2001 and the most recent section was completed in 2008.  Homes range in size from about 2000 sq ft up to over 4400 sq ft and lot size varies from about 7405 sq ftRiverside_cA_Victoria_Grove_houses to over 15,000 sq ft.

Community Ammenities

One of the best parts of Victoria Grove is the community pool and spa. There are several parks and playground areas dotted throughout Victoria Grove. The community is gated and there is security during a good part of the day and night.  There is also a large park with soft ball and soccer fields, sports court, picnic area, and playground. The HOA fee here is about $135 per month.

Victoria Grove also has a wonderful elementary School, Lake Mathews.  This school is one of the best elementary schools in Riverside.  Victoria Grove is in the Riverside Unified School District. The other public schools are Frank Miller Middle School and Arlington High School.

Moreno Valley

Moreno Valley is a city located in Riverside County, California. As of January 1, 2008, the population of Moreno Valley was 180,466. A relatively young city, its rapid growth in the 1980s and the 2000s propelled it to its status as second-largest city in Riverside County by population, and one of the Inland Empire's population centers.

Nearby Riverside, California is the county seat and largest city in the county; the two cities are closely tied, sharing March Air Reserve Base, among other things. The revival of Moreno Valley began in 1918, when the United States Air Force (then the United States Army Air Service) constructed March Field on the outskirts of Riverside as part of its World War I expansion. March Field was initially used to train fighter pilots. Although it was closed in 1922, it was reopened in 1927 and eventually became a full Air Force base. The presence of March caused the unincorporated communities of Sunnymead, Moreno, and Edgemont to develop and grow. In World War II, March again became a training ground for military pilots.

Moreno Valley is located at a geographic crossroad. To the east lies the San Gorgonio Pass and Coachella Valley; to the south are Lake Perris, Perris, the San Jacinto Mountains, and the route to San Diego; to the north are the San Bernardino Valley and San Bernardino Mountains. In the west are neighboring Riverside and Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
